    Default wiring path

Any chance of getting pics of the connection at the headlight switch and where you ran it to the shift boot?

No, the wiring was not already in place. But if you look at the picture you can see the wiring that came with the knob. You just plug it between the interior light dimmer (beside the headlight switch) and the wire that goes into it. Then run the cable inside the dash to the shifter.[/QUOTE]

Default Did you lose the dimming ability after the mod?

    Just wondering?

No, the dimming still works (with the knob illumination too).
Keep in mind that these are original BMW parts so ofcourse they work

Great shift stick ! Really like it ! If I buy my e34, I'll buy one like that, or one of the others the guy on ebay sells ! As I'm in Belgium and he's in Germany, it will even be here really fast, and with no possible custom problem

I recommend both the product and the seller (http://www.sanituning-tauberfranken.de). The knob looks very nice at night. Here's the one that I had before this one:

That one was nice too, but the chrome was a bit too much for my interior. Now the interior has more black leather than your average s&m dungeon.

Anyway, I ordered it on Sunday (the guy even responded to my questions on Sunday, wow) and it arrived here in Finland on Thursday.
