Can anyone confirm that Style 17 wheels won't fit

I found some Style 17 wheels (fit 1990-on E-36 3-series), but assume they won't fit my 525i because of the offset (47 mm vs 20 mm for E-34 wheels). Am I right? Thanks

You can do it with HUGE spacers, but I wouldn't...

they will rub in the front, you could use a 20-25mm spacer on the front but most of us here will say just get the right wheels with the right offset because you will also need longer wheel bolts.

Thanks guys! I thought that might be the case. I'm learning, maybe now I know the difference between Styles 7 and 17.
