For the new equipment with control from the rear: is there nothing available in the Phil's with remote control, which you could use instead of a fixed installed one in the rear armrest?
I will be on the E32 club meeting in Tokyo Saturday night and will ask the guys if they have something used to sell. But again, FM will be wrong for you in the Pil's.
Maybe a local one might be better.
If I can't get a system that works in the same way (with a mounted control in the rear armrest), then I think I am going to try to get it fixed here. The techs are quite good and the labor is pretty cheap. I know I can get the CD to read or get the laser fixed (if that is the problem) in Manila or Makati. Maybe I will get lucky and they can fix the controller and cable. I like the idea of the controller in the armrest and my wife thinks it is fascinating and wants it to work properly from the back seats. I will give it a try.
brother had driver in Indonesia.....bought a head unit with remote...not as cool as in center counsel but did work....
Yeah, I thought of that, too...maybe I will do that if I can't get both faceplates to operate at the same time. Thanks.
