My 535i w/5spd & limited slip has been excellent in the snow with 4 Blizzaks. Best rear drive winter car & just as good as most of the fwd cars I've owned.

My M30 with LSD and blizzaks is pretty sweet! Before I picked up the tires, after first snowfall, I was horrified about what was to come for winter. I thought I had the shittiest possible snow vehicle. Once I got the tires it's a blast to drive. I hate getting my paint all shitty, but you can easily do controlled drifts and make it almost anywhere!
the horror, the horrorQuote:

No shame in that. Reality is: one car, one income, winter roads and a car that really isn't all that special. Now, if I had an Aston Martin DB9...Quote:

Actually LSD has been replaced by traction control. So there is an element of sadness in that computers are driving cars - not people.Quote:

Ditto here.. same ones on my basketweaves... love 'em.. although they are a bit squirelly in the dry compared to non snow tires.. all those sipes give a lot of flexibility to the tread blocks.. but that's what gives it such great traction in the snow/ice.Quote:
