::.. Rear end slip...

At first I thought it was an anomaly, but I noted that the rear end slips too often. Most of the time, she can gun off the line but if she's pushed right through to second, the rear end will slip like a wild beast. This usually happens around 5000RPM in second on dry pavement.

Remedy? Or should I wait for the better rubber with the rims?

NB: Today on a small grade and wet pavement, I accelerated normally... not even mild and the rear end slipped. Did a little bit of 'ABS' like shaking while she tried to gain traction, then finally started moving.

too much power or not enough traction hmmmmm must be not enough traction as theres no such thing as too much power. if you are just burning one tire a posi diff would help but when you break em both loose things can get fun and or busy http://members.cox.net/wdixon27/burnout

I get can't make mine to break traction at all in the dry (EAT chipped but auto trans though). Didn't think it was possible even with a 535i unless it's a manual or turboed etc.?

I think the back of the e34 breaks free too easy...

even in my m20 powered 5er thats slow as who knows what breaks the back free around corners, etc WAY TOO easy.

some combos of crappy/worn/broken suspension parts will make the car tail happy

Interesting !
I would imagine crook tyres or seriously worn suspension components.
My M20 powered 525i on Michelin Pilot HX MXMs will not lose the rear end even on wet roads with me hammering it into a corner in 2nd gear.
In my case it's level of traction is so high that it scares me when my sons are driving it - I wish it were a little more progressive.

My 535 with LSD is almost impossible to break loose,even in the wet,unless you deliberately try,,and even then its hard

I used to always burnout in the wet and on steep grades in the dry with my M20, but then I got new tires :) Now there is no way to break that back end loose.
