what bushings are you talking about?

i've been reading up on steering and what might cause the car to sway or lean in one direction. i figure i'll try tightening the steering column and get an alignment soon. just curious on the bushings cause i read when the car reaches about 100K miles the bushings need replacement. i don't know which ones exactly, but i'm guessing its the suspension ones.
