Come on guys, someone must be a technical wizz and seen these faults before. I am new here and do need to solve this problem.

I have found the fix for this problem which is: soldered to the back of the instrument panel are 2 rechargeable 1.2 volt batteries. They control the service lights and one of the symtoms of the batteries being dead is no temp gauge or rev counter. It was the easyest job to whip out the instrument panel and replace the batteries.
Hope this helps someone in the future.
