Hi guys

I am in the process of adding a few amplifiers to my E34 to improve the sound from the system, as the UK cars don't come with an amplifier so the speakers are driven from the head unit. I therefore need to run all the cables myself.

I've run the RCAs along one side of the car and the speaker cables along the other. The problem now is getting these wires into the boot (trunk). I have lifted the rear seat base and my wiring is current sitting under there but I have no idea how to get the wires through to the boot. My car seems to have a fixed rear seat back and no ski-hatch.

After this I also need to get the RCAs from the driver's footwell up (right hand side) to the radio. Looks like a bit of a nightmare job, any tips?

Cheers
Paul.

In the trunk, once you've removed the insulating/carpet panel directly behind the rear seats, there are two rubber grommets at the lower left and right. You may have to cut out an ununsed hole to run wires through, but that should serve your purpose.

Getting the RCAs under the dash isn't awful; in my car I ran them along the passenger side, behind the speaker kickpanel, and above the glovebox. It all gets easy once you take out the glovebox and the trim peices surrounding it.
