Winfred,

You have me instructions a while ago that would replace the oil cannister gasket and stop this oil leak that I have had forever. I have removed the air box, the radiator fan and fan housing, disconnected the negative terminal to the battery, and started to remove the cooling duct to the alternator. I have the top bolt on the alternator off but I am trying to find the bottom bolt and any other bolts that are holding the alternator on. I have removed the two bolts holding on the power steering pump but I can't seem to locate a third bolt. The Bentley manual is not specific to my 1992 525i M50 engine. I would appreciate any help or comments that you might have.

Best regards,

Al Gray

Maybe a look on the explosion drawings of the ETK helps. Click on the picks to enlarge and see more

Shogun,

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. However, I may still need some instruction.
