Jumping out of 4th?!!?

My 91' e34 518i doesnt engage 4th gear anymore....just a horrible grinding noise if i try... it used to engage but then pop out on its own...

i think the clutch is in need of changing, but surely this wouldnt only effect 4th gear... every other gear is perfect, no problems at all...

Any ideas guys???

if you are lucky it just needs re-adjustment
