I was going to buy an 88 E30 convertible last month on eBay but ended up having a horrible experience. This would have been the 4th car I bought off eBay and learned a little each time. The seller did not disclose rust, body damage, gave the wrong VIN in the auction, and the check engine light was flashing!! Luckily, as you will see, I brought my digital camera!! Check this out - http://www.yourauctionblock.com/locastro21.htm.

What is sickening is that he has the same car relisted and is still not disclosing its flaws and still has the wrong VIN number!! That's just fraud!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4519158739
*******s like this shouldn't be allowed on eBay!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to stop this guy??

check out the list of highest bidders on the relisted auction. Then email them through eBay telling of your experience.

I did that... They all wrote back thanking me for letting them know. It's guys like this that give eBay and the car business a bad name!!

I have used Ebay extensively and can't tell you how bad I feel every time I see some A-hole abuse it.

What's the update?

"YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF PERSONALLY INSPECTING THE VEHICLE BEFORE YOU BID NOT AFTER!"

i can't believe they printed that.
