I dunno.....I just can't get enough of this stuff. What with SpeedTV having sold it's soul to the NASCRAP devil, it just doesn't seem easy to find great rally on TV anymore. At least in the US that is. But if ever there was a way to chuck your career and start all over again.....THIS is what I'd be doing. Racing little screamers the world over, the competition, the thrill of NO LIMIT DRIVING, the babes, the glory of victory, even the agony of defeat......sign me up next lifetime!

The filming and editing of these highlight videos is fantastic. I especially love the aerial shot of the car drifting through the multiple "S" curves in the middle of the snow-covered forrests. Enjoy.

I cleared out all of my cookies and then went back and clicked the links again, and they all worked for me. Do you have Windows Media Player? They are Windows Media files. If none of that works, just go to this (http://www.rallyplanet.com/) site for Rally Planet and go to their Media Galleries link. They have all sorts of photos and videos from all over there. Hunt for the highlights from each year and click their links.

Hope it works.....

The wife and I sat there and watched the ~4 minute video last night, laughing out loud at times. She is really coming around, and recognized the grace with which they were blasting through some of the turns. We were both amazed at the drifts in the hairpins that lined them up perfectly on the exits.

I agree Brian...that's what I want to be in my next life! Of course, getting motion sickness at the drop of a hat won't help me
:(

You'll get no argument from me about rallying being the sport of kings, much better than that prima donna F1 stuff. And quite why NASCAR makes the money it does I have no idea... Of course, I am biased because I work for the company that makes the little blue Subarus for WRC, but I've always liked it - it's why I work for there. It is just poetry on wheels. The only thing that comes close is the Japanese Drifting Race series, which seems gloriously contrived to me. I would say the only thing better than getting paid to race these things is getting paid to play in them - all the fun but no pressure. I had a ride with one of our test drivers on a short (3km) test stage "at pace" in Spain - the precision of it all was deeply impressive while so apparently 'out of control' to most observers.

Do you chaps* still have your Pro-Rally series? I haven't heard much of it since we stopped running the USA team after losing the two crew members in the crash?

"If you can't be safe, be stylish" is my maxim...

* "You chaps" = those of you in the USA, which I'm not
