my headliner is starting to bubble from the rear when the windows are down the fabric kinda ripples its starting to move towards the front! does anybody know how to remove the headliner and how hard is it to do ?

Note that the material from headliner is too thick, in case you have a sunroof.
1/4 inch material will not fit contours of roof grab handles, and other recessed areas of Headliner, and the sunroof panel will bind and stick with 1/4 inch material because there is not enough clearance. Most European cars use 1/8 inch. If you could see in advance what the deteriorated foam looks like, you would realize that trying any kind of quick or low effort fix is a waste of time. To fix properly you must take out Headliner board, remove all old material and then clean off all the foam material still stuck to the board. It is a messy job.

I ordered headliner material with 3 mm foam inside, width is 140 cm, for my iL I ordered a length of 200 cm. Actually the length of the board is abt. 165 cm.
For A/B/C pillars I ordered the same material, but without foam. Got this info from a friend in BMW. Headliner with foam, pillars w/o foam.
