I've seen two different versions of the pin locations for the stereo connector... I'm upgrading from the 89-90 stereo, to the Alpine CM5901. Does anyone with the the CM5901 manual have a pin-out diagram???

Two different versions? One is probably for the common-grounded-freak 1993 models (Hey that's me!) - just ignore it in your case.

Is this diagram not correct?

It could be correct... I just wanted to be sure before I started cutting wires. I have the older E34 wiring also shown on that page, and the diagram for that just shows one ignition +12v wire, but the stereo must also have a constant +12v.

Ah yeah... The www.bmwe34.net page has a picture of a 1995 325i connector diagram, and a chart listing of wiring pins for E34 models. The diagram and chart are completely different, for example the left/front + output is pin1 on the picture, and pin 16 on the chart. Which is which???

The chart can't be correct, as it lists Pin 2 as being used for both antenna booster power and rear/right + output.

I can tell ya that chart was perfectly correct for my freak 1993 wiring. :)

Oh duh, I get it now... BUt hte harness that goes into the back of the rado doesn't have 26 pins... And that chart only has wires for speakers, I also need to know where to wire the power/switched/ground/antenna power.

Sorry for popping in a week late on this but I'm just trying to work through the same issue with my 1993 525iT.
I found this on roadfly that may be helpful. I'm going out to see if this wiring diagram matches up. All others don't.
