of a message? Everytime I click the link... (3 times now)...my cpu crashes. Just run your cursor over the image and scroll down to Properties then "select & copy" the image's URL address then paste into the body of a new message. (or right click over the image and scroll down to "copy this image location"...it all depends on what software you're running)

Thanks, I'd like to see this 2 door M5 that "looks" like an e46. :D

or that add is totally screwed up. I doubt if it was intentional, mostly because cost of the ad as well as their reputation being at stake...
With a correct picture, that is a good price isn't it?

M5's under $40k and under 45k miles. Only half a dozen in that range, out of hundreds of M5's for sale on Autotrader.

$40k is a pretty good price for a real M5, much less for the ultra-rare, custom 2-door M5 with the M3 bodykit. I'll bet they even re-badge it as an M3 just to throw people off.

BTW - here's the one to buy:

For anyone who didn't get it, it's a joke son, you missed it....It obviously is an E46 M3 misadvertised as an M5.

there is a difference between "misadvertised" by "attaching the wrong pic" and "joke" as in "mischieveous trick", right? So joke and misadvertise contradict each other.... :D

Reminds me of all the '4-cylinder' RX-7s I saw when I was shopping.... And did you know that BMW makes almost exclusively V6s? :)

For those of us who are addicted to scouring autotrader.com listings (yes, I am one), many interesting things can be found. 525s with a V8... 1996 540s... and that vaunted, highly sought-after 2-door M5 with the M3 body kit. Now THAT is a super-modified M5! Very good work!

BTW- what do you guys think about the Jag XJR? Is it sacrelige to mention that here? It has similar stats to M5 -

XJR: 4050lbs, 370hp, 387ft-lbs, supercharged 4.0L V8
M5: 4028lbs, 394hp, 368ft-lbs, naturally-aspirated 4.9L V8

The XJR has firmer suspension than the standard XJs, tighter steering, bigger brakes, bigger wheels. I know the M5 is naturally-aspirated, but they're both relatively large "super-sedans". I'm starting to get in to Jags a bit more, and I think I might pick up a '96 or '97 XJR. That's got a 322hp supercharged 4.0L I6. And they are reasonably priced: under $15K.
