i was thinking of replacing my radiator hoses with the tacky woven steel kind they sell at pepboys. They look fine to me, and i assume will outlast rubber ones.. any cons? will they not tighten properly to the palstic radiator nipple? Leak? cause cancer? etc? :) thanks guys. It seems after flushing my coolant i've developed 3 or 4 leaks. anyhting is should do while i'm there? my thermostat works perfectly.. me engine heats to 1/2 in no time flat and never goes a millimeter above on the temp gauge. i think i have the plastic housing though, for the thermostat.

I'd worry about them tightening properly. You may not feel it when the radiator nipple goes 'crunch.' Maybe you could wrap some oem's up in tin foil or something if you are determined to have the pepboys look.

yeah thats what i was worried about.. oh well.

good idea, and i'll draw some pictures on the alluminum foil while i'm at it.. maybe racing cars and checkered flags.. i feel faster already.
:P
