Going on holidays, need some advice.

Hey guys, im going on holidays in one month to Punta del Este - Uruguay. Im thinking of taking the car too. I have to drive 1400 km and im afraid what can brake in the highway. I have changed water pump, t stat, hoses, spark plugs. I also had to fix the head because it was cracked so it has new gaskets. I have never changed the fuel pump (1989 520i), it also has the original tranny(manual car whith 200.000 km thats......125.000miles).
The point is what should i check before leaving? Can the fuel pump brake and leave me in the middle of the road? or the tranny?
ahhh also changed all v belts, oil, coolant.
Any kind of suggestions would be appreciated.

anything can go at anytime just like on a brand new car. Take basic tools, duct tape, make sure the spare is full and the jack is there, a good flashlight and a cell phone.
