Just thought I'd mention it so you can put it on the calendar. My wife and I will be driving the M5 from Toronto.

I plan on entering a few events such as the autocross also.

You are lucky, Mapquest says it's about 750 miles and 12 hours from my house. I bet it will take much longer, they don't account for the bad traffic and delay going across the border.

...planning to help with rallies, driver's school, etc. I live about 1 hour from there, and it should be a blast! We have some excellent roads not far from there for "tarheel foothill heel and toe".

I'll be there, still trying to figure out what sort of "special" car to build/bring, but rest assured it will be interesting. For those of you who are considering the driver's school, let me GUARANTEE that the track (VIR- www.virclub.com) is absolutely AWESOME. IMHO, it is the nicest track I've ever been to.

Fall will be a beautiful time to come see our tarheel state. I have to agree with Bret regarding VIR. If people can't get in on the driving school, they still need to go up to the track during the driving school weekend- they will usually have some parade laps during the lunch hour, so you can take your bimmer out on the track.

See you then-
