So I have the dreaded surging problem. I have decided to check for vacuum leaks first and I have ordered some new hoses. Just yesterday I found out something new. The surging does not occur until the car is completely warmed up. It is a constant surging when it does get warm. Let me know if this points to anything in particular. Thanks,

Jeff

bump, and some more help needed. I replaced the intake elbow and it still has not cleared up the surging problem. I need to know a hose as well. I ordered the two hoses that come directly off the elbow. I got the two that go off the back side (closest to the firewall), but I need the one that comes off the front side. Any help on this would be great or any pictures that would help. I checked on realoem.com, but could not find a picture of the hose. Thanks,

Jeff

hmmm... you would probably get more responses if we knew what car/engine?

Hey Jeff,
I looked up his previous posts and think I've found out what car he has, http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=7908. I can't offer any help, however, sorry.

Wow, first of all I don't know what that is or the procedure. I will do a search real quick. Any help would be great,

Jeff

I did a search and seem to only find guys with the M20 and M30 engines that were doing this. Something dealing with adjusting the valves? I didn't know they could be adjusted on the M50?
