I have come to the end of my rope and am hoping for more! I get a strong fuel smell in the car only about once or twice a month. Just about a fill up cycle.
These are the things I have checked and appear to be fine:
-fuel lines connected to fuel rail
-injectors (seals)
-underbody fuel lines
-fuel pump connections
-fuel tank filler spout area
-vent lines (3) from fuel tank to "expansion / overflow" tank
-vent line (1) from overflow tank
-connections to and from the purge canister (front corner of the
front fender on passenger side)
I cant help but feel the problem is in the venting/overflow system, but don’t know how to be sure about it.
Did I miss a step? I’d appreciate any suggestions :(
