How easy is it to replace the rubber auto transmission mounts on a 1989 525. Can it be done without putting the car on a hoist ?? Also.... does any one have an indicator stalk with BC control that they are willing to ship to Perth Western Australia at a resonable price ???
Thanks
Garry

big block of wood. Just use the floor jack to raise the car high enough to work under and support it securely with jack stands, Then take a wide block of wood and place it between the transmission pan and the floor jack so that you can just raise the transmission a little bit without crushing or denting the pan, once you just take the load off the transmission , raising it maybe a half an inch, 12 millimeters,, then you unbolt the rear transmission mounts and install the new ones. Very easy and cheap.
