I just bought Boge shocks for the rear. I'd like to replace the springs while I'm at it. I like the original ride height. Best brand?

you dont want to just change front or rears. They should always be replaced with a matched set, front and back.

stock springs are probably the best way to go. Although, most lowering kits do not lower the rear more than 0.5" the fronts lower about 1-2" depending on which brand, and get rid of that nasty gap in teh wheel arches.

Bavauto lowering springs are usually suggested with Boge shocks to retain close to stock ride quality. Apparently lowers the front about 1.5 inches and much less in the rear like the "d00d" noted above.

work good in the 6 cylinder cars but was a bit soft in the front with my V8.

I'm not too keen on lowering ride height too much. Sounds as though if I don't want to lower the ride I have to go with stock springs. Although I do like the Bavauto pricing.

why replace them with the same unless something is wrong? If you love that gap between the front tire and wheel well leave it alone.

If you lower it you cut the stops in half unless you have the bilstein sport shocks which have an internal stop.
