doing heater core change!!! what else should i change???

i a going to be doing a heater core change in january. i want to change the heater core, blower motor, ac expansion valve, & cabin air filter. is there anything else i should change with it torn apart?
is it hard to change the worn steering shaft parts with the dash out?
i tightened the nut & i still have a little play & also lost some of the telescoping distance.

Why changing everything? Is it all bad or just want to do it since your in there?

i do not feel like taking it apart again any time soon.
the blower motor has a slight squeek once & awile & when i installed a new expansion valve in my e30 the ac got colder quicker & i am not impressed with the ac in my 95 540i/a.

I'd cahnge out the lights for the OBc, center vent and climate control unit.

i am not sure if it is a light or a wire. i wanted to replace last light, but now i will replace those others also.
