I'm changing my radio from a 88-90 model to a newer one. I've been thinking about having to solder all the wires from the vehicle harness to the new connector, and thought that there must be a plug-in adaptor for this. Will bmw dealers be able to get such a thing?

go to crutchfield.com they make such a thing so you won't have to cut wires in your car. probably about $10

Dan, I have a brand new unused stereo harness if you want it it's for sale.....but then how would I get it to you there in NZ? Wouldn't shipping/customs cost a lot? I'd say it wouldn't weigh more than a few grams.

Thanks guys, sorry I've been out of the country for a while...

I'm getting a radio harness that's been chopped out of a wrecked car, so I'll just solder it in... No-one will see it, so who cares if it's a butcher job

Dan,
who told you $90? I've ordered many from Crutchfield.com before, usually they are $10 or less!

Ok, I'll call the dealer and get a price... I live in a small country so we don't have many places like crutchfield.com
