Hello Everyone,
on a '95 525i recently, I had the opportunity to find a gruesome discovery. In the e-Box, all the wires that are bunched going to the 3 relays and anotehr connection had melted some how. After fixing that one by one, then found the battery fuse, the 80A fuse on the smaller guage wire from the battery to the e-box, has blown out too. (not the fusiable link mind you).
What are the possibilites of the the fuel pump relay causing this ? I am agonizing that this might repeat again once I have done the job. It seems like there was some sort of power surge, can the realys cause this and backtrack and blow out the 80A fuse (it had to be a big big sure to blow a 80A fuse)...
