Check Engine Reset?

So after putting in a chip the Check Engine Light is now on. How do you RESET it? 1992 525i.

Apparently it runs so thats a good thing. Do a stomp test and see whats pissed off and we can go from there.

The codes automaticly get cleared after about 200 restarts without any code/engine problems.

The light came on after installing a chip from AC Schnitzer. Stomp Test? Educate me.
