I wonder if it is any good? Too bad just the software and the cable are not up for offering. Who needs another laptop!

I doubt the laptop itself is all the special... its more so just the hook-up into the car, and the software...

yeap the software is key....
my indy has a computer that he can hook up to my car...except the window trick
doesn't work in the e34....not enuff electronics yet heheh

i can do a good portion of that with my new snap on scanner, the only thing i can't do is recode the components on the later cars

I have a older DOS version of a similar program from Europe with the interface cable, which I can open, but I can't get it to run. Seems to have lots of good troubleshooting features. Need to reset the airbag light in my E36.
