Hey guys,

Ok, so after much deliberation I decided that rather than buying something I have seen done on the net (m parallel, hamann hm2, etc - all of which look great) I would try something I have never seen and hope for the best. So far I am extremely happy and many people have mistaken the car for a much newer e38 (minus the front end).

I should include that I have painted the entire car one colour, including the mouldings and door handles, which makes it look newer. I also installed a set of the newer clear tail lights. Coming this week are the angel eyes and clear front corners, but I will post pics anyway:

damnit.. how do i attach files in here? they say 40kb limit per pic.. mine are 150?

Incant...you can also save copies of your photos at a lower resolution/quality if using .jpg. The size stays the same but the quality may degrade a bit...a bit of the .jpg blockiness may be visible. Under most photoediting programs, you can select "more" or "options" and select the .jpg quality you would like...0-small size, low quality up to 100-large but v.high quality. By experimenting a bit, you should be able to get a size and quality that still looks ok, but is reasonably small.

For example, the two pics below are essentially the same. The first is 133kb (hosted on my own site) while the second almost identical image below it us 38kb (and could be posted)...

i like the color and the painted handles, i think it might look better with the chrome window trim blacked out.

Are those E60 wheels?

And did you buy the M tech lower door mouldings, or paint the 'normal' rubber ones?

Looks great, BTW!

those lights on your car... it looks v. modern. it will look even better when you get the roundels on those wheels, are they from the E60?

thanks.. no i just painted the normal mouldings. i'm not big on aftermarket kits, but i did order the bavauto chin spoiler to balance out the front end.. it looks like the front end needs a little more meat when you look at the car from the side

they're actually e65 and x5 wheels.. lol, more commonly found on x5 with a much higher profile tire

Ha! Cool idea on the X5 rims, guess you don't have to worry about them not being strong enough, eh? :)

Incant, looks good! (yup, roundels would be a finishing touch)

p.s. did you do the clear reflectors yourself? I'm looking to do that too...

Cheers,
Duey
