Hello Everyone,
about 3 weeks ago my '95 525i which used to run great until this time failed to restart. Went on looking for problems and identified the fuel pump was not working, then found out there was no power to the #23 fuse (fuel pump fuse), upon opening the black box where the DME is, there was gruesome discovery, 95% of the wiring harness that went to the three relays has melted! After cleaning up the mess, rewired it again using another e34 wiring harness with the exception of two red/white and two green/brown wires that are left confusing me...I know they are going to two of the relays, but I cannot id them. Any help in identifing them is greatly appreciated. will post pictures later on. Is there an online ETK sort of thing where I can see electrical diagrams ?
Now, is the relay the culprit of the mess ? the short in the wires ?
