I've just discovered a local bmw message board, looks like it's frequented mainly by E30/E36 first-car types... Thought I'd share some things I read;
Regarding wheel cleaning: "just a spray on solution of sulphuric acid - works well."
Question: "Just got a few questions... It's the 6cylinder auto model and it's got sport/econo/snowflake - what is the snowflake?"
Answers: "could it be traction control?"
"I'm assuming stuff here so I'm probably wrong but I think the snowflake is to do with the aircon"
"I think the snowflake mode takes off traction control"
