View Full Version : 5 Series Calendar?

I saw the post int he 7 forum about a 7 series calendar. I'd like to do one for us 5 series people. It could be just E34 or all 5 series (though I'd like to keep it to E34 or older I think). I can hopefully get it printed pretty cheap at my old work. It could be color or black and white, I prefer color.

If there are people interested enough to make it worth my time (not profit) I'd be happy to put it together.

We'd need at LEAST 3MP digital images.

Let me know if you are interested or if you have any ideas.

Alan

I'm interested Alan. I have a bunch of images as you know, but this is my favourite.

I can throw in a few pics of the ///Mtour, but the wife might get *ahem* if I get some young ladies to model next to it....

I'd like to have a strictly e34 calendar to use. I could even live without seeing a picture of my old beast on a page. Good idea!

Using the Fall show pics is a great idea. Please keep in mind that to keep the quality of the calendar up the minimum resolution I will probably end up accepting is 3MP, if I find that there are more than enough 4MP and up pics, I will probably only take those. I wanted to make this clear up front so that people won't get angry when their arguably beautiful pics are rejected for print solely because the resolution is too low.

I am in the process of getting some prices now, but please let me know how "nice" you want this to be. Do you want a large wall calendar or an 8 1/2 x 14 inch hanging calendar? Spiral bound or stapled? Gloss paper or gloss stock? All of these will affect the price. Or just let me know how much you'd be willing to spend.

I'd like a nice one - color, of a size to hang on the wall (not a huge one), glossy and spiral-bound. Being on the upper end of what's available, how much would that run us? That way we can get a sense from the guys whether or not they're willing to pay that much. (For me, I'd pay $20 easy, $30 maybe, $40 probably not).

Still waiting on a quote from the print shop.

As for the question on can we use pics that big for the show. Of course not. Your original pics prior to resizing them for the web should be 3+MP. The ones you post will be under 1 MP. When the 12 or 14 cars are selected the photo owners will have to provide the full res pics.

I'd like for the cover a pic with a bunch of E34s all together. Do any of you have something suitable?
