Hi, I'm new to these forums. I have an American-spec Oxford green 1995 530i with about 100k miles on it, and it's time for a makeover. I just had to replace the shocks and springs, and opted for the Dinan suspension. Now I'm thinking about purchasing E34 M5 "Throwing Star" M-system II wheels. They are 17" rims, and the tire sizes are 234/45-17 front, 255/40-17 rear. Will I have any clearance issues? The new suspension slightly lowered the car. Thanks.

You should be fine- I had some rear rubbing with 255/40/17 but nothing serious. Are the rear wheels 9" wide?

Those are the tire sizes I'm running and I have no clearance issues in the rear but a very light rub against the swaybar (aftermarket) in the front at full lock.

when i bought my car it had 255x40 x17s all round on 17x8 rims with factory lowered suspension.I have NEVER had a rub...I would never consider staggered rims but hey thats just me....

I hopped a ride in a Lear 25D from Denver to El Paso years ago. Got to sit in the cockpit both ways. Mach .78 at 48,000' on the way down, Mach .82 at 50,000' on the way back. I had a smile on my face constantly for about a month after that.

Thanks, everyone. I talked ot the Dinan salesman at my dealership before I had a chance to check in, and he said I should be fine, too.
