do you think an alignment would straighten the steering wheel? for the car to drive straight, the steering wheel is to the left. (almost 2 clock hours)

Yes. Centering the steering wheel is a normal part of getting the front end aligned.

I've had 2 shops, supposedly very good at alignments, do the front of my car with little to no benefit. I'm taking it to a dealer next time... ymmv.

Two times I took my car to get aligned (which is only toe in)....
All times the steering was off just enough to annoy me... :)

1/8 turn on each tie rod is all it took to be off!!! (and corrected at home)
