Pretty crappy quality- you can see the lines where he cut it unevenly with a papercutter. Looks to have been printed with a laser printer too. The scammer wanted me to take it to a check cashing store, and then forward the "balance" to him, but I seriously doubt that a cash checking place would cash it in the firstplace.

My only solice is that the ******* had to spend some money on Fedex International Priority from Lagos Nigeria.

I can post a scan tomorrow if anyone's interested- not very exciting though.

Hey there Dare, I got the cheque. It's a very poor counterfeit; what'd you use, a laser printer? Do they have Kinko's in Nigeria?

Anyway, I hope shipping from Nigeria wasn't too expensive.

Allen

PS Why are all the Nigerian scammers... from Nigeria? I've always wondered that...

For every 1 person who plays them along, there's probably a hundred who believe in it, and get to contribute to the Nigerian economy :(

Detecting forgeries, or making them?
