MAF, cam, ported head....

Emissions here is a rolling road system with an idle test and then something like a 25mph run.

Think it'll pass?

head porting should be a non issue as far as emissions go, the hotwire maf should be able to be even cleaner than stock.... the cam is the one thing that would worry me and your cat should help considerably anyway.

My car with the MAF, headers, M3 injectors, polished and ported head always passed emission here in Canada.

Worse case I could dial the MAF leaner.

and the test doesn't involve WOT :) you should be okay I would think. AFAIK it's darned hard to get the DME to not tune the car to a good emissions state unless you spoof the sensors or something's broken.

In AZ, they had a dyno with a full range of speeds, all the way up to 50. In NM, they sniff the tailpipe and take your $20 and send you on the way. Well - they also take credit cards.

Yea, same hear in MS, but they still charge $5 to make sure the lights work and give you a pretty little sticker that makes in even more clutter on the windsheild.

California does have emission test every other year, if you're lucky, randomly selected to a TEST only facility, pay at the lowest going rate of $60 buckaroos (includes emission test certificate that will be sent to the State Capital), then if you pass go on your way,if not in the mercy of the s(t)(d)ealers.. please use approp letter as applicable. or better yet for a quarter turn of a screw to tweak your emissions, please pay an additional $25.00 to add to a emission pre-test charge of $30.00 at least..Total charge close to $100.00 for emission check. Thank you, please come again.
