BILLR stated that in order to separate the backrest from the bottom part of the seat.....

"to separate the backrest from the seat bottom then you
remove the rear cover on the backrest and you should be able to see the levers on each side that will release the back from the bottom, prying the lever with pliers will usually get them to release - BillR"

Well I am a dumbass, and can not see the levers on each side. I am assuming this is in the inside of backrest toward the very bottom. I do see something that looks leverish, but I can not pry on it or move it. It is a rectangler peg that sticks out about an inch. Is this the lever?
The also is spring very close this lever, does it need to be removed?
