I have no affiliation with the owner nor the car,I came accross it in a publication of 'Deals On Wheels'

1996 BMW 525i Olympic Special Edition (http://classyauto.com/v/BMW+525/i+Olympic+Special+Edition/26338)

Green piping on beige interior? Sounds interesting.

Can anyone shed some light on this model?

I saw that back in May or June.

Still no takers? 20K for a 95/96 525. 100k miles.

Yeah, I didn't see any green piping on the seats.

Weird... a '96? I mean, I'd like to have an E34 525 any way you cut it, but $20k... wow... that's ambitious.

But it's rare! That's been for sale a while....20k is way too steep, you're in M5 territory at that.

ya think they would of loaded it up with options if it was special and or last one, i see no traction control

I did a search on eBay a couple of times for this model and came up empty, but did end up buying an Atlanta Olympic jacket that is the same green color. It also has the BMW logo on it, because BMW was one of the sponsors. It is actually a pretty cool jacket.

Now all I need is one of the special 525i's to match it!

I'll have green piping installed if anyone wants my '95 E34 with 64K (this morning)....and I'll even drop the price to $19K......

I looked at one of these a couple of years ago. Rare - IMHO, I don't think a car with shameless advertising tacked on constitutes "rare".

It's got "special" wheels - Not especially good looking to me.
The door sills had the logo, and one on the dash too. I can't remember if there was anything on the body.

It's got piping around the seats. Big deal. So how long would it take to wear those down? Around the side bolsters..hmmmmmmmm?

The green paint is green. If you like it, fine. I've never been a fan of green.

I decided that if I were to purchase the one I looked at, I was going to "de-badge" as much as possible. In the end, I just didn't want a green car.

It's an E34 525i - green. I wouldn't pay anymore for it than any other '95/96 - 525i.

Special Editions cost more new, and worth less used (usually). IMHO
