So they finally posted the winners list, of course if ya didnt get the call like 2 weeks ago ya didnt win.... but always a slight chance of some crazy error.

Funny how membership is increasing so rapidly... given the tixs per car has increased over the years, but only 11 winners... sooo low...

Last year I misplaced the form and didnt enter, so I've been in it 7 of the last 8 years... last year when I didnt enter was probably "my" year

I just tossed my 5 tix last night after checking that list. This was my fourth year in a row. And now that I'm officially a "former" Bimmer owner, I've sort of decided not to renew my membership. BUT......if I keep it current for what, $40 or so, I can still but tickets next year.....AND.....if I do hit the Lotto or whatever and go and buy a new BMW, I'll still be able to deduct the membership discount on the price. Hhmmmmm....what to do???

Equitably the laws of random picking gives everyone equal chance of winning, based on the number of tickets purchased.

Of course, if winning was based on the number of years entered, ;)
my 20 years should bring me closer to the front of the line and Warren could be winning at any moment....
There's no carryover - unless you consider "bad luck".

It was very, very quiet at the banquet during drawings, as no winners were in attendance :(

I sat next to Mark D'Sylva, who did WIN a car - unfortunately it was radio controlled. Undoubtably Mark has it chipped already.

well, there's always next year !!! Good Luck !

The cost is well worth the potential benefits... the magazine is worth the $40

what do the winners get?

....as I recall......

BMWCCA members, @$40/yr, are eligible to purchase up to 5 raffle tickets @ $25 ea. The ticket money is used to purchase, usually, an M3 sedan. That comes to 3500 tickets worth if I remember correctly. After one M3 is in the raffle pot, the next group of 3500 tickets buys another, and then another....and so on.

So a single purchased ticket has a 1-in-3500 chance of winning an M3. And 5 tix @ $125 get you a 1-in-700 shot! Usually 13-14 M3s are available each year and if say 12 cars are paid for by 3500 x 12 tickets and then only another 2798 tickets are sold before the deadline, then the 2798 x $25 goes to the final lucky ticket holder.

But don't quote me. :p
