which oil filter to get?

You get the 2 O-rings and crush washer with the filter in a kit.....

Check your local BMW dealer. My local dealer sell the BMW OEM oil filter kit for $9. That includes all the rubber rings. I believe BMA has the filter for $6 but you could end up paying more with shipping.
