according to bmwe34.net our exhausts are nice
and open, but mine is getting a little too open,
aka rusty =]

so i'm looking for a new one

bav auto sells thier BB one, stainless steel for 750ish
bmp has supersprint for 900 or so. is it stainless? i don't know...
some one mentioned Eisenmann$610.00 ? where can i buy that?see the PS :D
what about korman? or metric mechanic? do they have ones?

what are you guys running? all stock? post what u have
or what u plan to get! thanks,
martin

What kind of performance are you looking for? If the stock OE muffler is "nice and open", thus not restricting any performance, and last anywhere from 10-15 years, I think that's pretty good performance.

So, what else are these stainless mufflers suppose to do? I would look to get either a BMW OE or if you want aftermarket, Eberspacher - supposedly the OEM mfr of BMW mufflers.

Btw, if you really want to spend around a grand for a muffler, don't forget to look at Dinan. His mufflers are hollowed out/gutted and supposedly are freer flowing.

well i'm looking for sound =]
if i pay a grand for an exhaust
it had better make me smile everytime
i floor it =] know what i mean?

i DON'T want something obnoxiously loud
nor do i want a ratty sound - i want a crisp
sharp bassy note (in a perfect world)

well Bahn honestly I do not like the sweet bellowing of a six, it just dont sit well with me. The 8 would probably sound cool at like 5-65k but im not sure about a 6. You might want to make sure before you dump that much cash and might hate it.
Just my 2¢

I've got a Magnaflow Performance exhaust on my car and I love the sound. It's nice, very low and deep but not ricey sounding. Actually it probably sounds more like a strong V8. I would recommend looking into them.

jsvizijr - from that little movie it sounds pretty good but
it looks like its for an m3. i'll shoot them an email to see
if they have any e34 applications

bekkers is known to me as the most pricey stuff out there. they charge an arm and a leg. for example -

535i E34 89-95 sport muffler 2x70mm straight Eisenmann Stainless Sport
Quantity in Basket: None
Code: B5229-00700
Price: $689.00

this is JUST the muffler for 700 bucks....i want cat back....supersprint will do me cat back for 900 or so...
its gonna be a tough call cuz i bet midas can just weld some nice 2.5" or 2" pipes back there and for like $30. =] heheheheh

I suggest the B&B TriFlo. I ran it on my M Roadster and recently added it to me 94 540ia. It sounds great. Not loud at all on trips. But nice and throaty in town. I noticed an increase in performance and gas Mileage. HTH - JT

that some other e34 guy happened to start
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234717

quick overview - the consensus is the eisleman system and recently
the triflo's quality has been questioned by 1 user...
