View Full Version : Installed the EAT Chip on my 92 525i

Got the chip from Mark last week, finally installed it last night. Well worth the 199$US. Many thanks Mark.

They say it's a 30 to 60 minute process, however most of the time was spend removing the top circuit board. Had a hell of a time..

Instructions call for the two tabs on the DME harness which need to be moved inwards, however after playing with it for 40 minutes, i found two other hidden taps on the top row which also need to be moved down. I used a thin flat head screwdriver and pushed down on the top row, and what do you know it simply came off.

Thanks for the tip, I was trying to get my DME apart last week, and couldn't seem to get the top board free. Next time I'll check along that top row.
