Anti lock

I just got a "anti lock" warning light. Would it cause by brake pads going
bad?
anyone had this problems?

I know on my '89 325iC I occasionally get the "anti lock" warning even after changing pads and rotors. When the pads were nearly gone I got a brake pad warning, different warning. Not sure why the "anti lock" warning comes on. As I understand it, the brakes still will work fine, just no "anti lock" function when warning light is on.

My light comes on when I start the car.
I have a 1995 540.

may be relay or some other hard part problem, get someone to read the codes and see what's pissing it off, the system does a self diagnostic on start up and turns the light off if all's well
