is $350-400 too much for a set of rebuilt front m5 brake calipers of off a 93.

It's on the high side of what they are worth. Not unreasonable but if you're patient and shopped them a bit, you can get them for less.

Make sure you get the carriers as part of the deal. You need them and they are $ by extra. $350 and NO carriers should = no deal.

Sounds crazy, but even thought the carrier is just a hunk of iron with no movng parts, it costs almost as much as the caliper itself. $350 sounds pretty fair if the calipers really are newly rebuilt, and if carriers are included. Don't forget to factor shipping into the equation -- calipers/carriers (and rotors) are real heavy & expensive to ship.
