self locking hex nuts....

I just got a new center tie rod from BMA today... the connections that go into the pitman arm and idler arm didn't come with a self locking hex nut..... can I just pick up any self locking nut from any hardware store??

(number 8 in the picture is the self locking hex nuts i'm going to have to remove)

OK, I lied, I do have self locking hex nuts (for the center tie rod)....

but do I need to replace the self locking nuts that connect the left and right rods??
