Repair of Manual Seats

Has anyone replaced the struts that hold the seatback of the front seats? Both my front seats fall completely when I try to recline the seat.
Need instructions on how to replace the struts.

Manual seats? I did not know they existed in the E34. I'll trade someone my power seats for manual ones. I just spent $500 fixing the power driver's seat in my '94 540i. I really miss the manual seats in my old '95 318i.
