Wood Trim

Does anyone know if you have to have different panels in order to install the wood trim?

Yeah, the glove box & other pieces are shaped differently to allow for the wood trim. Other parts of the dash near the center console are different also.

hey I did this conversion about two years ago

I bought the interior from a wrecked E34 --- four door panels with wood, two wood trim pieces behind steering wheel on dash, wood shifter, wood shifter "plate", little wood piece next to glovebox, and wood-trimmed glove box... you also need the little piece into which the glovebox latch "clicks" because wood-trimmed gloveboxes don't have the same clearance between dash and glovebox ---- it's a little metal piece

Man, that sounds like an awful lot of work. I wonder how good a real-wood trim kit from Joshua Tree would look?

they dont look bad at all, especially since they are brand new condition. itll definately liven up your interior and give it a nice luxury feel. Easy on the eyes, especially on long trips. mmmm

i like wood trim :)

the only people that would probably notice its not OEM is other fellow E34/E32 owners.

edit: my father just got a real wood kit for his 94 jag from exoticwooddash.com and i just installed it and it looks outstanding.

Tried both Exoticwoods and Joshua Tree websites, no kit for E34. Know any other place where I can get a good one? Have an 89 525i btw, Cheers!
