View Full Version : fuel gauge reading incorrectly, working incorrectly....

does this have anything to do with the check control module? unplugged the fuel level sensor, put the car's ignition to pre-run, and the gauge displayed 1/2 tank. sensor tested 0 ohms at 1/2 tank....also forgot to mention that the car in question

is the 850

i tricked you to see if more peole would chime in in this instance instead of being turned off by my OT's. anyhoo, the car has two level sensors, one on each side. plugging my ohm meter into the sockets of the level sensor yielded infinite resistance. the owner says that the gauge always goes to an indeterminate "point" on the gauge, and and consumption reduces it from that point, IE, the obc reads down from the gauge reading, not the amount in the tank. already know that the man's lkm needs the med-cine, does the ccm have anything to do with this error? thanks in advance.
