I just got my 90' 535i 5-speed 2 weeks ago and i get terrible mileage around town. (like 13 mpg) But good freeway (like 25 mpg). And im not driving terribly fast. I've heard it might be o2 sensor or a number of other things. What mileages are you guys getting (city/highway)

Define your "around town" driving. I can get as low as 9-10 mpg in very heavy stop and go traffic and get 14-16 in light stop and go traffic. Open road/freeway I normally see 27-30 mpg. My average city/country road daily commute is about 23 mpg.

Depending on what type of travelling I do per week, I get anywhere from 300-380 miles per tank. It's an 18g tank, so that comes out to 16.6-21.1mpg, which I find pretty acceptable. My previous car, a 95' 525ia, had similar mileage, which I chalk up to the fact that I have a manual trans now, and generally drive conservatively. Around town my obc tells me I get from 15-16mpg and from 18-22 on the highway.
