they showed up here yesterday, UPS Ground, from New Jersey (their East coast warehouse, I suppose). Fantastic service. Ginger gets new stoppers installed, and brake fluid flush, tomorrow!

Those guys are the best. I can't wait until I need to buy parts for my car and can use them again. Well, I guess I can wait. ;) But it sure feels good knowing the future source of parts is as competent and available as BMA. It's also nice hearing that their distribution is spreading. Great for them from a warehousing and rent-paying point of view, great for us as customers.

The service from BMA is great. Patrick explain they have a new agreedment with UPS, such that for us in NoCal, we now receive our orders the next day from UPS.

bah you guys :P

i ordered a tranny filter kit, 2 new window motors and a bentley last friday, and wont come in until today around 4. im in lex, ky. they shipped from calif though.. and they have a warehouse in NJ? oh well.

no complaints though. the money saved is well worth the wait (dealer wanted $130 for a filter kit and BMA had the same part #'s for $21?! saved $110 on the window motors too!). damn dealer even said they wouldnt order the parts unless they could install them! fags.

... fags.

Agreed, they wanted around $100 each for coils, and a left nut to install them. BMA had them for a third of that. They're the best!

It always takes at least 5 days when i order from them... just a UPS thing. They can give you tracking number if you ask for it btw.

Mr. Auto Part also uses BMA's part supplier... but I got stuff from them in one day.

That's because BMA doesn't drop ship for some reason; they insist that items come to them first, and then they rebox them and ship them out. I don't really know why. When I need parts the next day, I use http://www.partsbmw.com/ which is located in PA. Otherwise, it's BMA,

That's because BMA doesn't drop ship for some reason;

The shipping label says it came from Jersey, but it also has the BMA-Glendale return address. Patrick said they'd be coming from Jersey UPS ground, to save a few bucks I guess, or get 'em here quicker. Ordered on Monday afternoon, here Thursday afternoon (and installed this afternoon!) Was able to save the wear sensor too! Gently extracted, gently inserted.

Cost comparison:
BMA ATE rotors: $42 each
Bavarian AutoSport ATE rotors: $47.95 each
Savings: $5.95 x 2 = $11.90

BMA Pagid D1131P: $41.50/set
Bavauto Pagid D1131P: $59.95/set (and they're not red, as shown here...
BavAuto Pagids (http://www.bavauto.com/assets/product_images/hardpart/pagid_red.jpg)
Savings: $18.45

Shipping: BMA: $23.62
BavAuto: $21.98 FedEx Express Saver (meaning you gotta be there to sign for it I think, which sucks)

Total savings: $28.71, or 19%. Not bad at all.

I ordered some parts on-line yesterday, Yves called me about a problem with the credit card number I gave. He said if I would pay the shipping ($10.00) he oculd give me a better price. Saved $30.00 on a $100.00 order. Always call before ordering, you can almost always get a better price than what posted on the website.

ya shoulda ordered offline and got the free shipping thing where if you order over $50, shipping is free

Online Pagids: $71.67...I paid $41.50
Online ATEs: $66.56 each...I paid $42.00 each

Total it up:
Online: $71.67(pads) + $133.12 (2 rotors) + $0 (free shipping) = $204.79
Call Patrick: $41.50 (pads) + $84 (rotors) + $23.62 (I pay shipping) = $149.12

So by CALLING Patrick, I saved $55.67. Don't see where that's any better than my deal...

I have ordered thousands of dollars of parts from BMA, and never used online ordering. Patrick (and Yves) are very good at beating any price I've seen anywhere else, almost any time.
