Turn signal won't work

My BMW just developed an annoying problem... When I use my left turn signal it blinks 3 times faster than it should.

The front indicator is working, the rear is not.

I switched out the bulb - no fix. I checked the fuses - they're fine. I even pulled out the LKM and the flasher relay and opened them up - they seem fine.

It looks like a relay is my problem - is that right?

BavAuto sells a flasher relay for $50... Is that what it is? I'd hate to spend 50 bucks guessing it will fix it!!

Find out why that one indicator isn't working and the flash rate should return to normal.
